The 8DIO 1990 Studio Grand is a deeply sampled virtual piano library for Kontakt, meticulously crafted to capture the versatile and professional sound of a Yamaha C7 grand piano. With over 48,000 samples, this library is renowned for its hyper-realistic sound and attention to detail.

It was recorded and processed through a high-end custom NEVE console with a variety of professional studio microphones, including Neumann u87s, Coles, Neve SE Ribbons, and AKG 414s. This allows for a wealth of tonal options through six distinct microphone perspectives. The library includes separate samples for sustains (pedal up and down), staccato, and staccatissimo notes, with extensive round-robin variations for a natural, non-repeating feel. It also features finely tuned sympathetic resonance, pedal noises, and hammer action releases, providing an authentic and expressive playing experience.
