UVI Augmented Piano is a unique virtual instrument that goes far beyond a traditional piano plugin. It is a “creative piano workshop” based on a meticulously prepared and sampled 1909 Pleyel grand piano. The plugin features 24 distinct “preparations” where the piano’s strings were altered with various objects like tacks, screws, rubber, and brushes, or even played with a bow or a guitar pick. This creates a vast palette of sounds, from the ethereal and sustained to the percussive and metallic. With three mixable microphone positions and a powerful built-in effects section, UVI Augmented Piano allows users to easily craft original and expressive sounds, making it a perfect tool for film scoring, sound design, and experimental music production.
