The Balinese Flutes 1.0.1 plugin by Soniccouture is a virtual instrument that provides a dynamic and expressive simulation of authentic Balinese flutes, also known as Suling. Designed for Native Instruments’ Kontakt platform, this library captures the unique, breathy, and resonant tones of four different bamboo flutes, from the large Suling Gambuh to the tiny Suling Kantilan.

It goes beyond basic sampling by using advanced phase-matching techniques to create a highly playable instrument with modeled dynamics. This allows for realistic legato transitions, natural vibrato modeling, and an expressive response to breath pressure, making it simple and inspiring to play. The plugin also features a microtuning module with Balinese presets, allowing for authentic traditional performances, in addition to standard Western scales.
