The Glencoe Audio Eilean Flannel Piano is a deeply intimate and beautifully imperfect upright piano library for Native Instruments Kontakt. Unlike typical felt pianos, it uses a thinner flannel material on the hammers to produce a clearer, more focused sound while retaining the soft, muted character beloved by neo-classical and film composers. Inspired by artists like Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm, the instrument captures a close-recorded, raw, and organic sound. It includes three distinct piano versions (“Full,” “Soft and Intimate,” and “Tape Stretched”) and a unique “Warp” section with six curated ambient soundscapes sourced from the piano itself, allowing for effortless blending of piano and textural sounds.
