The Toontrack – Fretless EBX Expansion is an add-on library for Toontrack’s EZbass virtual instrument, dedicated to delivering the highly expressive and unique sound of a fretless electric bass. Meticulously sampled from a top-shelf instrument (modeled after an Ibanez GWB 1005), this expansion captures the sublime, soaring, and violin-like character of the fretless, including the weightless glissando, rich sustain, and distinctive vibrato.

It comes complete with a broad collection of presets, ranging from dark and mellow to bright and articulate, and includes a custom MIDI library tailored for authentic fretless playing styles (fingerstyle being predominant). The Fretless EBX allows you to easily inject your basslines with a professional, iconic sound often associated with high-caliber players in genres from jazz-fusion and progressive rock to pop and ambient.
