The KORG EP-1 is a virtual electric piano plugin that superbly recreates the sounds of seven classic tine-type and reed-type electric pianos from the ’70s and ’80s. Instead of relying on traditional sample playback, it utilizes KORG’s proprietary Multi-Dimensional Synthesis (MDS) sound engine. This technology allows for incredibly natural and dynamic expression, with smooth tonal changes from pianissimo to fortissimo, realistic mechanical key-off noises, and authentic temporal changes in sound. It also includes three multi-effects slots and a dedicated reverb, offering a diverse array of vintage and modern effects to further shape the sound.
