The Strezov Sampling LIPP Piano is a unique, intimate virtual grand piano library housed within Native Instruments Kontakt.1 It captures the distinct character of a vintage, 100-year-old grand piano, moving away from the highly processed sound of modern piano libraries.2 Recorded in Sofia Session Studio, the LIPP Piano features a huge dynamic range and is designed to be dead easy to mix, making it an inspiring and efficient tool for media composers.3
The library is deeply sampled with 5 dynamic layers (velocity groups) and 4x Round Robins per note, ensuring realism and minimizing the “machine gun” effect.4 It provides an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) with three distinct microphone positions (Close, Hall, and Stage) that can be blended easily using a single Dry/Wet slider, along with Stereo Spread and EQ functions.5
