Misterioso Strings is a soft, aleatoric, tonal texture library for Kontakt, designed to evoke emotional and atmospheric moods. Created by Musical Sampling, this library features a unified ensemble of 16 violins and 16 violas performing live, delicately executed major and minor textures. The intuitive control scheme allows for expressive performances, where playing softly triggers a minor chord and a harder touch produces a major chord. The textures were largely recorded with con sordino (mute) and sul tasto (over the fingerboard) techniques, resulting in a subdued and ethereal timbre that blends seamlessly into any orchestral mix.
