Description
The Soniccouture Samulnori Percussion is a professional virtual instrument library for Kontakt that captures the powerful, rhythmic essence of a traditional Korean percussion ensemble. “Samulnori” (meaning “four objects play”) features four core instruments, each representing a different element of nature: the Janggu (rain), Puk (clouds), Jing (wind), and K’kwaenggwari (lightning).
This library is known for its incredible detail, featuring 14 velocity layers and 10 alternate “round-robin” layers per hit to prevent the “machine-gun” effect. It includes a unique Euclidean Beats MIDI sequencer for generating complex organic patterns and a Humanise module that adds natural variations in timing and velocity, making it ideal for film scoring, world music, and contemporary production.
