The Toontrack EZkeys Cinematic Grand EKX is a unique sound expansion that transforms a classic grand piano into a specialized hybrid instrument for soundscapes, soundtracks, and creative sound design. It is not a traditional piano emulation but a source of highly evocative, altered, and layered piano textures.

The core of the sound library is a meticulously recorded 1891 Bösendorfer grand piano, captured in four distinct, non-traditional configurations:

• Bowed: Strings played with horsehair.
• Plucked: Strings struck by hand.
• Damped: Various preparations added to the strings for a muffled tone.
• Harmonic: Capturing exaggerated overtones.

These unique sonic layers are combined and processed with various effects to create over 40 ready-to-use, mix-ready presets, resulting in a versatile tool for composers seeking eerie, atmospheric, or dramatic piano-based sounds.
